Science
Science is another hands on part of the curriculum. During science students will experiment and manipulate to understand how things work and how they can be changed. To ensure that this happens, the class will use the five "E's" of Science:
Engage: Read or talk about assumptions of science idea.
Explore: Students will look, explore, or evaluate concrete items.
Explain: Teachers and students will explain findings.
Extend: Connect ideas to self or world.
Evaluate: What did you learn and how can you use this in your world?
Children usually do these things own while they are exploring their own surroundings at home. Encourage your child to talk about their ideas and findings. This will allow your child to discover their world around them and how to incorporate it into their lives.
